| Small Group at
Penkhull Christian Fellowship consist of 6 to 15 people who gather
regularly for fellowship, worship, prayer support, bible study, and
or outreach.
They usually meet in the comfort of someone's home, some are at our
Centre building. They are led
by dedicated people who love God's Word.
Why Small Groups?
Scripture: In
Acts
2:42-46 we see that the early converts to Christ
divided into two meetings: a large group meeting "in the temple
courts" and small group meetings in their "homes."
Human Need: We all have a basic
need for friendship, communication, support, and shared
experiences. The goal of Small Group Home Bible Studies is to
meet these needs by developing biblical and caring relationships
among God's people.
Outreach: We believe that Small
Group Home Bible Studies should be one of the ways the
body of Christ witnesses to the world. Small Group Home Bible
Studies provide an effective point of contact and a
non-threatening entry for people who want to know more about
Christ.
What Happens?
The group gathers to study the Bible, pray, have fellowship, and nurture
one another. Some are based around fellowship, others around prayer
or study. Meetings take place on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Tuesdays
each month and generally last for about an hour and a half. At the
end of the meeting there is usually a time for refreshments and
fellowship.
Small Groups Provide:
- An opportunity for you to develop
supportive relationships with members of Penkhull Christian
Fellowship.
- A place where you can grow and mature in
your walk with Jesus Christ.
- An informal atmosphere for people who
want to know more about Jesus Christ to ask questions and see
how Christians love one another.
